Becoming Indie

Unfortunately, one of the sessions that I really wanted to see at 360 iDev happened at the same time as my presentation. Noel Llopis, of Snappy Touch, has very nicely posted his presentation slides from that speech, however. Although it's not as good as actually getting to see the presentation (which I've heard was excellent) there is a lot of good information in the slides.

Interesting. I saw one slide in the presentation talk about turning off Thumb support. Can't seem to find out much about this...does anyone know what the pros and cons of turning on/off are and exactly what its purpose is?

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the mention and I'm sorry we couldn't see each other's presentations! Next time I suppose. At least we finally got to meet in person :-)

Michael, you can read my original post about the Thumb mode here: http://gamesfromwithin.com/?p=239 Hope that helps.

Michael - I was going to answer the question, but Noel's blog posting does a much better job than I could.

Hi,

Stupid question, but I presume the only way to view a keynote doc is to buy iWork - I guess I really should invest in it?

Thanks,
Chris

You can download a 30-day free trial if you only want to view a file or convert it to PDF or PowerPoint...

Thanks - had the wacky idea that OpenOffice might be able to read it... but alas no...
